Mike Murphy
Founder / CEO
Mike Murphy founded Tiara Sun Development in 2002 and brings a strong background in urban planning and high-end residential construction. With early experience working alongside Arizona’s top builders, Mike has shaped Tiara Sun into one of Phoenix’s premier custom home builders, known for its architectural integrity, timeless design, and collaborative approach. He remains hands-on in every project and is a proud member of the NAHB Builder 20 Club.
Richard Milne
Vice President of Construction
Born and raised Arizonian, Richard graduated from Loyola Marymount University and is a decorated United States Marine. Richard is an experienced residential construction manager, effectively managing project schedules, budgets and ensuring quality control and onsite safety. Richard is committed to the highest accuracy and quality building for our clients.

Kim has earned a reputation for going above and beyond to provide detailed and personalized service, building trust and long-term relationships with our clients. Kim is collaborative in her approach, not only with our clients, but also with vendors and subcontractors. She ensures the operations of our fast-paced business run smoothly.
Mark Platt
Project Manager
Mark has over 25 years of residential construction experience, mastering multiple trades before ultimately owning a successful construction company in Lake Havasu, AZ. His hands-on approach keeps projects on track while providing problem-solving solutions to complex construction challenges. Mark’s professionalism and attention to detail is valued by our subcontractors as well as our homeowners.
Kevin Smith
Construction Manager
Kevin brings more than 25 years of experience in luxury residential construction, overseeing architecturally detailed custom homes throughout Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, Carefree and other premier Arizona communities. His experience spans ground-up construction, scheduling, trade coordination, quality control and client communication, with projects ranging from complex custom residences to homes exceeding 20,000 square feet. Kevin’s hands-on leadership, attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship help ensure each project is executed efficiently and to the highest standard.
Zeke Kormos
Project Manager
Zeke brings five years of experience in the custom home construction industry, with a strong background in project management, preconstruction and estimating. He has experience managing luxury custom homes from initial planning through completion. A graduate of Grand Canyon University with a degree in Engineering, he combines technical expertise with hands-on construction management to keep complex projects organized, on schedule and aligned with budget and design intent. Zeke’s detailed approach to planning, coordination and problem-solving supports the level of precision and quality expected throughout the custom home building process.
