A renovation focused on preserving character while updating for modern living. The construction team restored original ceiling beams by removing layers of paint to reveal the natural wood. Rather than replacing the Brazilian cherry floors, they were refinished to a lighter, more neutral tone. Structural modifications opened the formerly compartmentalized kitchen, dining, and breakfast areas into a single functional space. A restrained palette of limestone, clay tile, and reclaimed wood allows the architectural details to take center stage.
