Mike Murphy
Founder / CEO
Mike Murphy founded Tiara Sun Development in 2002 with a vision to redefine luxury home building in Arizona. A graduate of University of Arizona’s School of Urban Planning, Mike brings a deep understanding of thoughtful community design, architecture, and the unique landscape of the Southwest.
Before launching Tiara Sun Development, Mike honed his craft working alongside some of Arizona’s most respected builders, gaining invaluable experience in high-end residential construction. Under his leadership, Tiara Sun has become one of Phoenix’s premier custom home builders—recognized for its commitment to architectural integrity, timeless design, and collaborative partnerships with leading architects, designers, and craftsmen.
Mike’s disciplined background, industry expertise, and hands-on approach continue to shape Tiara Sun Development’s reputation for delivering exceptional homes that reflect both the aspirations and lifestyles of their clients.

Crystal Murphy
Designer
Crystal has over fifteen years experience with managing design and construction projects and has teamed up with Tiara Sun Development to assist clients with navigating the many important decisions. She works with architects and designers to assist in executing clients’ overall vision in a cost-effective manner.
Richard Milne
Project Manager
Born and raised Arizonian, Richard graduated from Loyola Marymount University and is a decorated United States Marine. Richard is an experienced residential construction manager, effectively managing project schedules, budgets and ensuring quality control and onsite safety. Richard is committed to the highest accuracy and quality building for our clients.
Kim Tuite
Project Coordinator
Kim has earned a reputation for going above and beyond to provide detailed and personalized service, building trust and long-term relationships with our clients. Kim is collaborative in her approach, not only with our clients, but also with vendors and subcontractors. She ensures the operations of our fast-paced business run smoothly.
Mark Platt
Project Manager
Mark has over 25 years of residential construction experience, mastering multiple trades before ultimately owning a successful construction company in Lake Havasu, AZ. His hands-on approach keeps projects on track while providing problem-solving solutions to complex construction challenges. Mark’s professionalism and attention to detail is valued by our subcontractors as well as our homeowners.
